Pizza Shelf: How to Make Wood-Fire Pizza without Wood

Don’t believe me? Check this jawn out: Pizza Shelf.

If you can’t be troubled to click on a hyperlink, let me break this down for you.

How can you make wood fire pizza in your oven?

Now, Pizza Shelf is made from stainless steel and ‘Heatflection’ technology (who knows what that
means, or who cares?). So, this combo allows the shelf to get up to 900 degrees fahrenheit which
is the optimal temperature for Neapolitan pizza.

Here’s a cool video showing off how it works.

Two things:

  1. You’re dumb for hating on Neapolitan pizza
  2. You can cook a New York pie or Grandma’s (Sicilian) pie in under 10 minutes

Check out the below infographic to get an idea of how it all works.
How neat is that? We haven’t even talked about my favorite thing yet.

This stainless steel pizza pan will cook anything.

For most products, you get one single use out of them. But that is not the case with the Pizza Shelf.
You can literally make all these things on your shelf:

  • Pizza, duh
  • Scallops
  • Stromboli
  • Naan bread
  • Calzones

And that barely scratches the surface of the versatile Pizza Shelf.

Quick thing: S/O to our friends over at Saucy Slices who inspired this post. Check out their stuff, it’s
rad and that means a lot coming from us.

Anywho, what do you guys think of the Pizza Shelf? Good? Bad? Ugly? Let us know what you think in
the comments!

  1. I bet this is a PITA to clean though says the Debbie Downer in me. I think of my stainless steel cookie sheets....all black and nasty ...and I wonder if that is what this will look like. I use a pizza stone and you can just scrape off the crud rather easily,

Anywho, nice write up. And nice link to Saucy Slices.

    1. Oh, no doubt about the cleaning bit. I wonder if it's dishwasher safe? Thanks for the comment!
